Capability Conversation - Value Realization & Consumption
Value Realization & Consumption
Enable and Verify Value Realization and Consumption
What this capability means: Enable, observe, and verify that released products, services, policies, or changes are adopted, used, consumed, and translated into intended stakeholder outcomes without shifting unacceptable burden or harm elsewhere.
Working well when...
- Adoption, use, support, workflow fit, and enabling conditions are considered before release.
- Use and outcome evidence are distinguished from delivery and availability.
- Direct,subsequent, and affected-group outcomes are observed.
- Low-value or harmful results are adapted, withdrawn, or stopped.
First-pass conversation
- Who must adopt, use, enable, support, or change behavior?
- What conditions must exist for the result to fit their work?
- What changed for the stakeholder after release?
- Which barriers, workarounds, burdens, or harms appeared?
- What evidence should cause us to improve, scale, withdraw, or stop?
Warning signs to discuss
- Success ends at delivery, deployment, or project closure.
- Adoption is assumed from availability.
- Usage is counted without evidence of stakeholder progress.
- Downstream burden, maintenance, or harm is ignored.
