Capability Conversation - Feedback
Feedback
Obtain Rapid, Meaningful Feedback
What this capability means: Obtain timely, meaningful, credible, and sufficiently diverse evidence about stakeholder value, product or service behavior, quality, flow, operation, human effects, and the assumptions guiding decisions.
Working well when...
- Important decisionsstate the evidence expected and the next review point.
- Actual use and direct observation complement internal reviews and metrics.
- Feedback arrives early enough to change work at reasonable cost.
- Evidence reaches people with authority to respond, including unwelcome evidence.
First-pass conversation
- What claim, uncertainty, or decision needs evidence?
- Whose feedback and which technical, operational, flow, or human evidence matter?
- When does evidence arrive relative to commitment?
- What bias, noise, or missing voice limits the signal?
- What result would challenge our current interpretation?
Warning signs to discuss
- Feedback is delayed until release, closure, audit, or failure.
- Internal approval substitutes for stakeholder or operational evidence.
- Signals are collected but do not change decisions.
- Dashboards create confidence without context, alternatives, or missing voices.
