Amplio Train the Trainer Learning Journey

What is the Amplio Train the Trainer Learning Journey?

Overview

The Amplio Train the Trainer Learning Journey takes people enrolled in the Amplio Learning Center and trains them to be trainers. Being a great trainer requires more than just knowing how to present a set of materials. You not only need to know why they were created the way they were, you need to be able to handle questions about them and how they can be applied in dierent situations.

People sometimes think coaching, training, and consulting are different roles. In reality, if you’re doing any one of these you will at times need the others. For example, if you consulting with a manager you may discover there is a concept she’s not understanding. You may have to teach her the concept. Some of this may require coaching so that she doesn’t resist it. Mentoring may be required on follow up visits.

These skills require:

  1. The theories of Flow, Lean, and the Theory of Constraints to understand why the approach is being presented.
  2. Why the curriculum is ordered to enable easier learning
  3. How people listen, lean, and react in order to avoid resistance
  4. Good interpersonal skills to guide the way
  5. How to ask questions.

Becoming an effective Amplio Trainer takes 3-6 months depending upon your experience and weekly investment.

How the Train the Trainer Program Works

The train the trainer program consists of three concurrent threads:

  1. Attending or watching the 13 Train the Trainer sessions
  2. Learning the physics of flow from recordings of past sessions and asking questions in the twice weekly Q&A sessions.
  3. Presenting sections of past learning journeys to Amplio learners under the eye of Al Shalloway. This not only hones your presentation skills but enables you to learn the materials at a deeper level. This enables those with no prior experience in training to learn it in a live environment.

The ACE Partner Program

All participants in the ACE learning journey get access to the PowerPoints used in the program license-free. They can use these in  lunch-and-learn, making internal presentations, and leading internal courses. The only restriction is they cannot remove the Success Engineering logos.

They can also request to use ACE sessions as a free consulting sessions.

There are sessions for every other week for partners only to go deeper with AmpGPT – including how to create your own version of it. The sessions in between these are open to all participants of the Amplio Learning Journeys to discuss branding and how Success Engineering can support them.

The ACE Partner program takes this a significant step further.

ACE Partners can use the Amplio materials to provide public workshops. While there are no fees for doing internal trainings, there is a 20% fee for public workshops. This is partly due to defraying Al Shalloway’s costs to ensure the workshop is of sufficient quality.

A key aspect of  the Amplio Capability Development System is AmpGPT.  Part of this is the ability to add any constraints and practices to a domain or organization that will make it more useful. AmpGPT is designed to be tailorable to different domains. Its program is based on system, cognitive, and learning dynamics. It also has been “trained” in a variety of practices applicable to knowledge work.

This was the hard part.

Adding in system dynamics and practices for new domains is neither difficult, nor time consuming, when you know how. But knowing how to expand its base is not obvious.

Part of being an ACE partner is learning how to do this. This is also important because different domains may have different communication issues. Three sessions every four weeks will be about about extending the progamming of AmpGPT, how to write proposals, special sessions on request to see how to use Amplio in other areas, and other topics of interest. These will be sessions for ACE partners only.

The ACE Partner program is $900 / six months (this is an all-inclusive fee).

This learning journey starts January 6, 2026. Enrolling now will
get you started on the background material you will need.
