Amplio University Core Curriculum

Amplio University Core Curriculum

Regardless of your focus, there are some concepts you should learn. Amplio’s Foundations is such a set.

This set of practices builds off the foundations and is useful for all coaches, consultants and practitioners.

These concepts will be presented in the free Amplio Community of Practice.

This curriculum is useful for all coaches, consultants, and practitioners. The Amplio @ Scale curriculum page has more advanced core topics.

  1. Amplio Foundations go to the page for more information.
  2. You should run a diagnostic of your organization to see where you are before deciding which approach to take. Both of these topics were covered in this Amplio Community of Practice Session which you can watch here.
  3. Driving from values first – identifying critical stakeholder’s success criteria and constraints. October 22th ACoP session.
  4. We should consider frameworks to be the set of agreements we’ve made on how to work together. We can make our own and adjust it as needed. If we start with someone else’s (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) we must make sure it is viable to change it. October 22th ACoP Session.
  5. The need for an intake process.
  6. Innovating with the customer value stream. See Creating Value Without Waste.
  7. The importance of explicit workflow agreements.
  8. Using Minimum Valuable Increments. See the videos on the Requirements, The Customer Journey, and Innovation (note these were done when we called them Minimum Business Increments – MBIs.
  9. Planning with MVIs. Done, link coming.
  10. Lean management.
  11. How to use shared backlogs. See case study 2 here.
  12. Core value creation structures.
  13. Focusing on achieving alignment to lower the need for external coordination efforts.
