Amplio Capability System

This diagram illustrates the Amplio Capability System (ACS) — the capability-building infrastructure within the broader Amplio ecosystem. Rather than treating improvement as a matter of training, framework adoption, or certification, ACS is designed around the idea that lasting organizational improvement comes from building the capability to see systems more clearly, learn more effectively, adapt practices to context, and improve continuously through real work. At the center of the system is AmplioAI, acting as an AI-powered capability partner that supports guided learning, diagnosis, reflection, and application in day-to-day situations.

The system integrates personalized capability journeys, interaction-driven guidance, and real-world application with the foundational dynamics that shape effective improvement: systems dynamics, perceptual dynamics, and learning dynamics. The goal is not merely to transfer knowledge, but to help individuals, teams, and organizations develop stronger judgment, better decision-making, and greater adaptability over time. In this model, capability is not built through passive consumption of information, but through guided experience, reflection, feedback, and continuous improvement in context.

Some of the capabilities we focus on are:

  1. How to use AI to increase your capability.
  2. How to determine what the real problem
  3. How to stop mechanical Scrum How to speak to management and feature factories.
  4. How to get a stalled SAFe adoption going again.
  5. How to create stakeholder alignment without endless meetings.
  6. How to influence people when you don’t have authority.
  7. How to make better decisions under uncertainty.
  8. How to help people see what they are not seeing.
  9. How to get requirements in a way that doesn’t cause rework as they emerge.
  10. How to improve an organization without creating change fatigue.
  11. How to know when a practice should be adapted instead of followed.
  12. How to help people see what they are not seeing.
  13. How to speak to management
  14. How to create effective team structures (think Team Topologies, only more flexible).
  15. How to avoid resistance in people when trying to guide improvement

Different ways to improve

It is more useful to learn how to do something in your workplace than it is to learn new information in a workshop. This is why the Amplio Capability System is designed for just that. There is flexibility in both the format and the topics of interest. There is also an acknowledgement that people have different learning styles and different schedules. Therefore the ACS has multiple way for people to learn.

The Format of the Program

The program is a collection of live sessions, recordings of sessions, recorded mini-lessons, and article. This enables people to learn at their own pace while attending live sessions as they want. The current schedule of live sessions is (all times Pacific):

  • Tuesdays. 8:00-9:00 AM and Thursdays 3:00-4:00 PM. Ensemble Learning Session. Here we discuss new topics and go deeper into older ones. Sessions include both Q&A and getting help in solving particular problems. Every fourth session is a session for questions, problem solving, and AmplioAI usage.
  • Wednesdays.  2:00-2:30 PM. These are primarily for AmplioAI usage, but general Q&A and problem solving is included.
  • Fridays. 10:00-11:00 AM. These sessions are limited to ACE Partners and discuss Amplio branding and positioning.

Recordings are available 24/7 for those in these programs.

Learn however you want

People can participate in Amplio Capability System however they want. Options include:

  • Working with AmplioAI to go through the topics.
  • Going through the Amplio Capability Journeys.
  • Talking with AmplioAI about issues of interest.
  • Select items on the Improving the System page that explains how to use Amplio
  • Select items on Solve Specific Problems page.

The Amplio Capability Journeys

Different people have different capability needs. While people can improve by picking topics of interest or being guided by conversations with AmplioAI, there are several pre-defined sets of concepts and practices designed to help particular roles. You can see these here.
