A Path to Lean Scrum
The Amplio Scrum Guide
Amplio Scrum is an extension of Scrum as laid out in the Scrum Guide using the principles of Flow, Lean, and the Theory of Constraints (called “Amplio principles” from this point forward. This extension is intended to enhance the ability of teams using Scrum to create value for their stakeholders. However, because it leads to changes in the practices of these teams from what’s allowed in Scrum, it technically is not Scrum, and we, therefore, call it “Amplio Scrum.”
The Amplio Scrum Guide provides an integration of Lean thinking with Scrum as well as incorporating a few essential practices not presented in Scrum. This creates a bridge from where people are to where they’d like to go.
