This Week in Amplio

Getting a taste of what’s next

Each week, “This week in Amplio” is a stimulating conversation about what was covered in the free Amplio Community of Practice and the 6-month mentoring Amplio Consultant Educators Learning journey (live mentoring at self-study prices – $995 for 6- months).

These continue Success Engineering’s commitment to introducing powerful ideas to the community.

See all of these sessions on Rijon’s YouTube Playlist.

This week in Amplio’s host – Rijon Erickson

A note from Al Shalloway: What I love about Rijon hosting these sessions is that he is both a knowledgeable host while being unbiased on the content. He often takes what I say deeper while never accepting anything without questioning it.  Rijon conducts several streamcasts like this. I suggest you follow him on LinkedIn for more.

September 13, 2024. This Week in Amplio, Al Shalloway and I riff on:

* Problems and myths
* Why focus on Scrum?

August 23, 2024. We need to transcend Agile’s start at the team and recognize the organization is different.

We also know more than we used to and must take advantage of the verifiable theory we can use.

And we must lower education costs by 90%.

But the biggest shift may be from the perspective of what we’re building to the perspective to the customers. We don’t do this even though most folks probably think we do. The need for UX separate from devs is a symptom of a deeper problem. One that is causing many problems.

August 9, 2024. In this session, we talked about how not having a verifiable theory, following to understand, being purposefully incomplete, and being immutable evokes resistance and makes Scrum / Agile hard to learn. This downward spiral has poisoned the entire Agile industry.  In contrast to this we discussed how Amplio provides verifiable theory so you can understand up front without resistance. This creates an upward spiral.

August 2, 2024. This week we talked about using patterns to create flexible systems. We also talked how to create an Amplio for Scrum which is easier to start than Scrum but can be continuously expanded to be used with multiple teams. It can also be the basis for moving to Amplio @ Scale.

July 26, 2024 The Amplio approach includes a vision of training the right people with the right stuff in the right way to dramatically reduce costs. Most companies operate at a fraction of the effectiveness of what’s possible. Amplio is not just a new approach in concepts. It’s a new way to educate people in them.  See a post on this here.
